I'm Frances.
I'm from Poughkeepsie, New York but currently reside on the internet.
I went to school at University of North Carolina Asheville and majored in New Media.
When I'm not working, I'm probably going thrift shopping or making pasta or exploring weird rural places.
I love to watch Seinfeld and do crossword puzzles.
My cats are named Keyboard and Cosmo.
I like getting experimental when I design things. I love creating work that is colorful, playful, and inviting.
My career with Popmenu
Before taking on a full-time position as a web designer at Popmenu in the spring of 2022, I spent a year working with the company as a contract designer. During this year, I built over 300 websites for restaurants across the US & UK and in turn greatly refined my skills as a web designer and expanded my existing knowledge of and experience with CSS & HTML.
A couple of notable sites that I have created while working with Popmenu include five sites for James Beard-winner Meherwan Irani, a renowned restaurateur and founder of Chai Pani Restaurant Group, the well-respected team behind some of the most highly rated restaurants in the country. His first restaurant, Chai Pani, was recently named the most outstanding restaurant in America. I am behind the websites for each of their restaurants: Chai Pani, Buxton Hall BBQ, Botiwalla, and Buxton Chicken Palace, along with their corporate site, Chai Pani Restaurant Group.
